Canadian Work Visas

You can work for any employer with this type of work visa unless the organization is listed as ineligible on the list of employers who failed to meet the requirements. Your job placement is not constrained to a particular employer with this type of work permit.

Overall, obtaining a work permit might take a few weeks and a few months, starting with the application, getting an LMIA from your prospective employer, and receiving the actual documents.
