PROVINCIAL NOMINEE PROGRAMS (PNP)

In the Non-Express Entry process:

• You must apply to the province or territory to be nominated in a non-Express Entry stream
• You must fulfill the province's qualifying standards to be nominated
• Once nominated, you must submit an online application for permanent residence
• Get a medical examination 
• Police check (certificate)

There are two ways to apply for Express Entry online:

• You get in touch with the territory or province and request a nomination through an Express Entry stream
• Create an Express Entry profile if the province or territory agrees to nominate you

OR

• You create an Express Entry profile and show the provinces and territories you are interested in
• You should contact a province or territory directly if they send you a "notice of interest" for your account
• You make a submission to their Express Entry stream
• If you are nominated, the province or territory will send you an electronic nomination certificate you must accept

             In both cases, you must:

• Meet the eligibility requirements of the province or territory and submit a profile for Express Entry and demonstrate that you match the requirements, including being qualified for one of the immigration programs it covers
• If you are asked to apply, you submit an electronic application to IRCC
